Pokémon: Pokémon Old Maid Babanuki Card Game Blue Version (Japanese) – 34 Cards

Pokémon Old Maid Babanuki Super High Tension is the second Pokémon Center Japan version of the Pokémon Babanuki card game, following the original red edition.

Released in 2023, this blue "Super High Tension" edition features an entirely different selection of Pokémon from the original deck. The official Pokémon Center character list includes Pikachu, Togepi, Fuecoco, Swirlix, Dedenne, Inkay, Spinda, Wobbuffet, Tatsugiri, Deoxys, Ludicolo, Snorlax, Sudowoodo, Dondozo, Comfey and Koffing. Koffing takes the role of the Old Maid card in this version.

The individual illustrated cards have also developed a collector following and are regularly submitted for professional grading. Pikachu is one of the most widely graded cards from Super High Tension, while characters such as Deoxys and Dedenne also have established PSA-graded markets.

That makes the sealed deck interesting both as an official Pokémon Center game and as a collection of unusual standalone Pokémon cards. Unlike the original red Babanuki deck, this edition does not contain Gengar.

The cards themselves are Japanese, with an English instruction manual included for English-speaking players.
